At first, we planned to go hiking on the coast among the redwoods and to the beach with friends on Labor Day. But then Isaac broke his right big toe during his 3rd soccer game last week. (He was racing to get the ball, he got to it a split second before his opponent did, Isaac kicked the ball, and the other guy kicked full force into Isaac's foot. They lost the game BUT Isaac won the ball!) Isaac crushed the growth plate in his toe so can't run for a few weeks. He gets to wear the removable shoe (in photo above), but he says he'll paint a Nike symbol onto it. So we stayed closer to home and played ultimate frisbee and soccer at the park with the missionaries and friends (Isaac didn't play), went to the base pool with our friends from around the corner, then went out to dinner at all-you-can-eat Fresh Choice with our friends. A fun family day!
