Joshua's Special Day

Joshua was baptized on Saturday and it was a wonderful day! When Isaac was baptized (in the ocean in Guam), when Eliza and Madi were baptized (in England) and when Rachel was baptized (in Germany), we had NO relatives with us. So at Joshua's baptism we made up for it with TWENTY relatives present! It was so touching to have my sister's family come from their busy Saturday of swim team and ballet, Uncle Dan took half a day off of work to bring his family down, and my parents came. They all live one hour away. Then what an even bigger surprise when Nick and Julie and JOhnny drove down here from Reno (3 hours away), picking up Gpa Ernie on the way. And the biggest surprise of all -- my brother JOnathan and his family drove up Saturday morning from 6 hours south of us, then drove back home that same night after dinner at our house. Wow! We are so touched by all their sacrifices to be with us on such a special day. Isaac played piano at the baptism, Eliza was the chorister, Madi gave a talk on the Holy Ghost, and I accompanied Rachel singing a musical number. It was a stake baptism, so 2 other boys were baptized also (including Joshie's very good buddy) and it was great to have ward members there, too.

Joshua and his friend Bridget. (Side note: one day Isaac was in a teasing mood and was teasing Josh about a girl in his class at school. Josh rolled his eyes and said, "If you HAVE to tease me, you can at LEAST tease me about BRIDGET.")
