A flight suit at long last

Joshua saw a flight suit his size for $50 and has wanted one for over a year. So I
finally got him one for about 50 CENTS instead of $50... I sewed one down for him from an old one of Lyrad's. The "pros" are saving money and I didn't have to do ANY hems or zippers, but the "cons" are the parts where it's puffy and/or uneven and he gets frequent wedgies (he wasn't around to try it on while I was sewing). I kept remembering when I tried to make him a pirate hat out of a pillow case 4-5 years ago (he was begging me for one and kept describing how it would look) but he burst into tears when he saw it. I am so NOT a perfectionist, so I was worried he might burst into tears this time, too, because he's been dreaming of a flight suit for so long. But thankfully he LOVES it and wants to wear it for pajamas and to the store and to costume parties. So my hours wrestling with the flight suit and sewing machine are all worth it...
