Our first stop after our 24-hour drive from Texas to Utah was at Grandma Shirley's house, to take showers and get ready for the day. Then we headed for Provo, to see Isaac in his apartment! He'd been gone 2 1/2 weeks already and we were so excited to see him. We were so impressed with his spotless apartment. He'll move into the on-campus dorms in late August (for fall semester), but for summer he's enjoying being a 10-minute bike ride from campus and cooking his own meals. He called home a week before we visited him and asked Lyrad if we could "bring a fork" when we come, because he didn't have any dishes. Lyrad asked Isaac what he'd been eating with, and Isaac said he'd been eating things that didn't require dishes, or eating with his friends at Heritage Halls. We called Grandma Shirley and she got right on that and soon he was a happy camper (or happy cook) with 2 sets of dishes (so he's prepared for all those possible dates). And Isaac was so excited to cook us dinner when we came to visit...

Isaac with his new love, Tess. In Texas, Isaac named our black Honda Fit "Betsy." So when he bought this bike in Provo, he wanted a good name for it. He named his bike after Thomas Hardy's
Tess of the D'Urbervilles.

Everybody loved a trip to BYU Bookstore for t-shirts and cinnamon bears (and Josh has been waiting months to buy a CTR ring).

We visited our friends we met while living in England, 3 of whom live in Provo and one of whom is visiting from England.

Isaac cooked us steak for dinner! After a childhood of lentils, pasta, and potatoes, Isaac is living it up with Real Meat at college.
