Eliza is enjoying track season. She runs the 100 and 300 m hurdles. Here she is in action (and she won this heat!).
Eliza also keeps busy with club soccer. During spring break, Eliza and I drove 7 hours to Tampa on a Friday evening, she played in 2 soccer tournament games on Saturday, then we drove 7 hours back on Saturday night (arriving home by 3 a.m.). Eliza played great and was really needed (only one sub was there) and we had some fun time together (watching Masterpiece Theater movies on the drive, eating at fun healthy restaurants and finding 2 yogurt shops) but driving 7 hours seems excessive...
Eliza has 7th period Soccer class every day, in which they do intense cross training, then she goes to track right after school 5 days a week, then 2 days each week she heads from track to an intense club soccer practice. Needless to say, she is in fabulous shape!! And somehow she also finds time to study...
Eliza was presented a Varsity letter for academics and was honored at an awards assembly for those who have a 4.0 or higher. Way to go, Eliza!!!
