Rachel wanted to pick an instrument different from anyone in the family's to play in the band (now that she's starting 5th grade and can join band). So she was thrilled when we found this Yamaha flute at a pawn shop. In a few months I'll get a photo of her holding the flute CORRECTLY, but for now no one around here has any clue how to hold or play the flute. I'm kind of excited about how quiet this instrument is. What a nice change of pace in this house full of brass instruments!
