Our big 8-year-old!Lyrad was excited to take the family to a new state park on the coast, for hiking and/or camping and an astronomy presentation in the evening. Joshie was thrilled because he loves outer space and being outside. At the last minute, they were the only 2 who went on the outing. Rachel's softball team made it to the league championship game, so I stayed home and cheered her on, and the teenagers all had "other things" they wanted to do so they stayed home from the hike also. They'll have lots more chances to camp and hike this summer. But life sure gets more complicated as everyone gets older!
