A wicked night in San Francisco

Lyrad and I took Eliza and Madi to see "Wicked" with lots of people from our ward and my sister and her husband. We parked by San Francisco's City Hall (quite famous in the news around here, for protests about Prop 8) and saw a big group of men in tuxes waiting to go into one door of City Hall and a big group of women in formal dress going in the other door. We stood and watched for a minute, wondering if all these people were trying to get same-sex marriage licenses. But another bystander told us it was a high school prom. I guess they have a male door and a female door to facilitate security checks.

We only got to see Mark, Katherine, and cousin Brittany for a few minutes before the show and then during intermission, because they sat in nearly the front row of the theater, while we sat in the very back (and top) balcony row with our binoculars! We enjoyed the show, especially the cute song "Popular."
