I'm the assistant Bear Den Leader and am having a great time with Joshua! The leader, Lynnette, is incredibly organized and talented (i.e. she made this flag by hand) so it's a great experience to be her assistant.
Joshua is a Bear, and he also has a new bear. He saw this bear at Costco and fell in love with her. He earned it for his Piano Double Treat (since I'm his piano teacher, this is his incentive: he gets to color in a square on the chart each time he practices, then every 6 squares he earns a "treat" such as candy, but once the whole chart is full he earns a "double treat"). He named his bear Annabeth, but Isaac (teasingly) calls her Big Bertha and both names have stuck. He sleeps with his bear every night.

Even when it's 100 degrees, Josh and I ride bikes to and from his school (1/2 mile away). It's faster than fighting the traffic around the school!
