Eliza's writing an article for the school newspaper about the Senior Prom, so guess who gets to pose for photos for her article? Lucky Isaac. He hated doing this photo shoot, but isn't he a nice brother?

Isaac asked his friend Jane (she's in his seminary class every morning, she took piano lessons from the same teacher, but she goes to a different ward and school) to the Mormon Prom (it's cheaper than the school Prom and has a cleaner environment). He emptied 3 boxes of Mike and Ikes in a jar, wrote the letters of his name on 5 candies, then attached a note asking her to Prom, and to find out who it was from, she had to find the letters to his name and put them in order. She answered him with (his favorite) Almond Joys.

Isaac brought this certificate home from his Jazz Band competition

And Isaac was thrilled to see this letter on the computer, from BYU, awarding him a scholarship. He yelled louder than he's ever yelled before when he saw this. He didn't want to spread the word around, but there was no chance of keeping it quiet, thanks to his proud mother and sisters! My dream in high school was to earn the BYU Presidential Scholarship, and I didn't make it, so it's very fun to see my child accomplish the same dream!

Congratulations to Isaac!
Congratulations, Isaac, very well done!
I just got a great idea for an April Fool's joke with some of the high school seniors in my ward...
