"Howdy, Texas" --- Josh in the 4th grade musical

Josh was Mayor Will B. Friendly in the 4th grade musical, "Howdy, Texas." Josh loved his mustache and cowboy attire (especially the big belt buckle Uncle Jared mailed out from Utah for Josh to wear!) . He thought he'd be nervous to be on stage with so many speaking parts, but after the first (of 3) performance, he told me he loved acting and he wants to do drama in the future!

He's meeting Mrs. Post, who comes on the train to teach the townspeople some etiquette, so they can win the contest.

The mayor addressed the town about how their town of Howdy, Texas, was a finalist for the Best Town in Texas award.

Josh loved the hay-fight scene

Dancing the waltz

The musical had great songs, such as "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun," "I Can do Anything Better than You," and "Boy, It's Hard to be Humble." They also sang to the tunes of "Paint Your Wagon," "Minuet in F," and "William Tell Overture". Very very cute musical!

We had a Howdy Texas Pizza for dinner that night

The whole family cheered Josh on at his evening performance. It may be the last time our whole family goes all together to see a family member perform, since Isaac leaves for college in a few weeks.
