Josh's 10th birthday party -- A Couch Potato Party (??)

In January, Josh announced what he wanted to do for his 10th birthday: a Star Wars Movie Marathon. So he made kirigami invitations (inspired by a book about Origami Yoda) and wrote a schedule on each one. The party started at 7 a.m. (last Saturday) with the first 3 Star Wars movies (the 3rd one was edited) until 2:00. From 2-4:00 they had cake and games, then from 4:00 - 11 p.m. Josh watched episodes 4,5, and 6, eating candy and popcorn throughout. Josh's friend Cameron came at 7 a.m. and stayed until about 5 p.m., but everyone else came for just the afternoon party time and/or part of a movie. Lyrad, Rachel and I watched with him at night, but by 10 p.m. we were all asleep and Josh was on his own. But he made it through all 6 and loved it!

Lightsaber battles out back were a hit...

And Steal the Yoda (a.k.a. Steal the Bacon)

Along with Tower of Flour....

and musical chairs.

Happy Birthday, Josh! It's hard to believe he's 10.
