On my birthday, we woke up at 2:30 a.m. in Colorado to drive very slowly to the airport (behind 2 snow plows). Despite the falling snow, our flight was not cancelled. We arrived home at 2:30 p.m. to a CLEAN HOUSE (good job, girls!). Then we went out to Thai food for dinner that night. It was a fun birthday, even though 41 sounds very old now. I thought that the one perk about being 40+ is that it should be easier to win or place when running races. But I've realized that in my case, it is totally untrue. I don't think I'd even place if I was in the 50+ category! I was no where near the fastest when I ran my half marathon and 5K's. Oh well; I'm just a slow runner and it's all about PR's, I guess!
The day after my birthday was my friend Deanne's 40th birthday. So I took her out to frozen yogurt (favorite food ever) and lots of friends in the ward joined us to surprise her. We have an awesome ward...
