At Madi's 2nd diving meet, she was the 8th competitor out of 32 high school divers (4 schools). Here she is waiting her turn to dive. Each diver does 6 dives in 6 categories: a reverse, an inward, a forward, a backward, a twist, and a free choice. I loved watching Madi nail all her dives, after only 6 weeks of diving (and since they have to drive an hour to practice, they only practice once a week).
Here's one of her scoreboards. Anything over a 5 is great. 7's are very rare (some divers who'd been to nationals were the only ones who earned a 7). Madi placed first out of her high school's 6 divers (this is the first year her school has had a diving team) and 9th overall (out of 16 girls, some of whom have been diving for years). Very fun to watch! Since we had to drive an hour to the big city (Pensacola), we went out to dinner at one of Madi's favorite restaurants:

So fun to see what all your kids are up to - it looks like everyone is very busy...especially you!! Diving is one of my favorite olympic sports - tell Madi I expect to see her on TV someday! Or... maybe I'll see Eliza and Rachel as the fist sisters playing in the World Cup! We miss you guys!
