Between campfire smoke and cute little kids jumping in the picture, we couldn't get a good family photo...

On the day after Thanksgiving, we went camping with 4 families in our ward. (2 families went home late Friday night after the dinner and campfire) We had a cold snap that weekend, so it was 30 degrees that night. But we kept warm by the fire or deep in our sleeping bags.

Lyrad makes the best meals on a campout! He made dutch oven chicken and potatoes and carrots and onions, beans with bacon, and peach cobbler. The families took turns cooking, which was a great way to do it!

The older kids played lots of games together: Murder in the Dark, Mafia, Therapist, Flashlight Hide and Seek, etc. The next day, we went canoeing, Isaac went swimming (while the rest of us watched in our coats and gloves), we played bocce ball, then we had a big soccer game. It was a great way to spend the Thanksgiving weekend!

Josh was so excited to go fishing. He sat there for a long time, casting and recasting
but he never caught anything. I think the fishing was poor because all the fish must have frozen to death.
