Rachel's middle school band and another middle school band played with the high school band during a football game halftime. The yellow uniforms are Rachel's band members, and the maroon are the high school band members. Very impressive! Rachel is excited to be in the high school band next year because they will be performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2012.
Rachel loves her band. She started out as 10th chair in the 11-person flute section of the Honor Band, and she has worked her way up to 6th chair. It's a stiff competition but it's perfect for Rachel. Rachel is enjoying working her way up the line. She practices for hours and we have to make her stop at 10 p.m. so people can sleep around here.
