A night on the town

Lyrad loves delivering babies (especially C-sections) and teaching the residents, but as Clinic Manager (a nightmare job to him) there are many meetings and tasks that he does NOT enjoy.  One "task" was having to go (at his own expense) to a fancy banquet (celebrating a graduate of Airman Leadership School from his clinic that he only had met once).  He had to buy lots of medals to go on his mess dress ($$$) and then sit through a few hours of speakers.  I went with him and we tried to make the best of it, and it wasn't as bad as we thought it might be.  Lyrad doesn't like spending his evenings at military functions after he works on base all day.  We both prefer to be home or outdoors.
