We saw a bunch of alligators this week... but not in the wild.
Here's a video just to prove they are real. Our family's favorite crocodile story took place in 2002 at an animal park in Australia: 4-year-old Rachel wanted to pet and feed kangaroos all day, so when we left the kangaroos to watch the crocodile feeding, she was not happy. She scowled at the crocodiles and said, "They're FAKE! I want to go back to the kangaroos." I told her to watch closely, and soon one huge crocodile sprang at the food. It scared me to death, and I asked Rachel if NOW she believed they were real. Still scowling, she explained, "It's BATTERIES." I laughed and took her back to the kangaroos while the rest of the family enjoyed the crocodiles.
